So… I’m going through all of my Paris/Europe photos (yes, yes, FINALLY)… and I came across this random scene from Paris. We were meeting w/ all of our workshop attendees 1-on-1 at this cute little cafe on the streets outside of the Diva flat, and when I glanced up I just started cracking up when I saw this randomness. I couldn’t help but interrupt our little chat so that I could snap a photo of this. I have no idea what’s going on in this scene, but it still makes me smile. 🙂 Hope you’re all having a happy Wednesday!
On another note… Marissa & I are bouncing off the walls today after hearing something extremely exciting. Can’t wait to share with you all!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been gabbing and gabbing about this hot new light that Weston made and surprised me with while Kimberlee n’ I were speaking in Chicago. I just did a shoot with it last week and I was able to use my light like crazy. I loooove it. I think it give such a “fashion” vibe while still providing the flattering soft light that is needed for boudoir photography. This is Tina, a FULL PHOTO SHOOT client that was kind enough to show off her beautiful face.
A few more images from the session….
See a few more images at the San Diego Studio’s boudoir blog.
Tina is getting married soon and will be giving this gift to her fiance. She drove all the way down from LA for her boudoir photography shoot.
What do you think ladies? Is he gonna love it or what? Tina, you have to tell us what he says!
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick reminder about The Boudoir Shopâ„¢ Terms & Conditions. As a reminder, we are not able to sell our products to any photographer residing within Socal!!!
Also, if you have purchased any of our templates (album templates, ad templates, marketing templates, etc), we wanted to remind you about the usage rights to the designs you find on those templates. Those templates are to be used only on your materials that you are selling to your clients. We’ve seen our designs pop up in interesting places (ie, t-shirts and rub-on tattoos for your clients). Great ideas, but please use your own designs for those, not the designs that you have found in our album templates. Also, you may not use our design elements for your logo or branding your company in any way. Thank you for understanding! All of these items are described in detail in our Terms & Conditions page], which you MUST agree to before making a purchase. Therefore, please do read them in detail before making a purchase on The Boudoir Shop!â„¢ Thank you!
Traveling in France this year was really and truly a dream come true! After the Paris boudoir workshop, we took a roadtrip along Northern France… and on our way to Normandie, Marissa begged her hubby Weston to pull over at this field of yellow flowers. I’m so glad she made us turn around and go back here – it was truly a magical spot!
Once the spots are booked for our Paris Boudoir Photography Workshop, Kimberlee n’ I will be giving a lucky contest winner/attendee the following FOUR bad-ass, and totally necessary, apps for their iPhone. Check it out::
If you don’t have an iPhone, never fear – I guess we will send you a cute book on Paris. Still very necessary. 🙂 No worries, I am still waiting for my excruciatingly long phone contract to be up, so that I too can get an iPhone. Sigh. -M
Oh, ps., what should we do for our BIG “$400 off Paris” contest??? What do you all want to see our workshop attendees do? Photo contest? Video submission? Other? Help us decide! (Leave a comment w/ your opinion on what we should make out attendees do!) 🙂
So excited about all of our Paris attendees!!! Here’s a list of all of the ladies who have registered so far::
Corneli | Patricia | Nikki | Jessica | Sadie | Jesse | Vivian
That makes 7 gals… which means the workshop is halfway sold… only SEVEN spots left! If you’re interested in joining us for the second annual Divas Paris Boudoir workshop, click here to register! We can’t wait to meet all of you ladies who have already joined! Oh – AND… one more big announcement about Paris 2010. After we’ve received all 14 registrations, we’ll be offering a $400 OFF CONTEST! The contest won’t be announced until after everyone has officially registered (to make it fair for all of the attendees to find out about it at the same time). But ONE lucky gal will win this awesome workshop discount!
(I love this shot Marissa grabbed from the streets of Paris). I have seriously fallen in L-O-V-E with this city! There is a photograph waiting to happen everywhere you look. Just being IN Paris is WONDERFUL. But on top of everything we will all be living in sick Paris apartments… connecting with other fab female photogs… and hanging out/learning from us crazy/dorky divas… AH, it’s just such a fun experience! I CANNOT WAIT for April (can’t believe we have to wait for NINE whole months!!!) 🙂 Ok, that’s all for now! YAY PARIS 2010!!!
While we were in Chicago last week, we got to hang out with some super-cool photographer friends for a wonderful lunch at Urban Belly! Thank you, Kenny, for arranging the meet-up… and for spoiling us with a delicious lunch! 🙂 Here we are, with: Kenny Kim | Jennifer Gaudreau | Kevin Swan | Dane Sanders
I grabbed this photo from Kenny Kim’s blog – thanks again, Kenny… you rock! 🙂

Last week, we had the incredible privilege of traveling to Chicago for the CPPA meeting! We were invited to present our 2-hr speaking program, Boudoir Is Back!â„¢ We love doing this presentation, because we love sharing about how boudoir photography has made this incredible comeback over the past 2 years! We are so excited to be at the forefront of the industry when it comes to this niche market, and we are always so honored when we are asked to speak about boudoir! Here are a few photos from the day… starting with a shot of the awesome location for the meeting, Cafe La Cave! The CPPA was kind enough to treat us to a fabulous steak dinner before the meeting started (thank you again, CPPA!)
The best part of our presentation is when we get to drop the mics & grab our camera & lighting equipment… we just love being able to actually DEMO what we’re talking about! 🙂 We have to give a HUGE shout-out to our wonderful model, miss Robyn Martin! Thanks so much for being willing to demonstrate our posing techniques in front of the whole group! We really appreciate your help. Thank you!
(Isn’t she stunning?!) 🙂
The shots below were sent to us by Larry Burrows, CPPA’s president! (Thanks, Larry!)
