My brain took a digger the other day…
We just launched our “Summer Promotion” and filled every spot. It felt really good. The next day my friend sent me a text, “just got my new headshots!”
Attached to the text were 6 semi-decent AI headshots of her.
How it did not occur to her that this would totally bum me out considering my profession is a whole other discussion…
for now I’m just focusing on the fact that she reminded me that AI is here and it can create good photos.
I heard for a hot second, “people aren’t going to want photo shoots.”
AI photos have never bothered me before. I know what I offer and it’s far beyond AI’s capability.
But that’s the thing, I’m human.
I’m gonna get knocked out of my magic and flow.
The icky feeling lingered. It was rainy and gray out. And I was very jet-lagged. And I had too much coffee and had entered that weird wired state where anxiety and defeat show up at the same party.
So I called it a day and went to bed.
The next morning, I did exactly what I teach inside Money Magnet Studio.
I used the practices I rely on whenever my brain starts telling stories that aren’t serving me.
Because beliefs are simply thoughts we continue thinking.
If I chose to believe that AI meant the end of portrait photography…I’d eventually start acting like it was true.Once I got myself back into a better headspace, new thoughts started showing up instead.
- People pay for my attention, not just my photos.
- People pay for my artistic eye and direction.
- People pay for the experience I create—the sets, the space, and how I make them feel.
- People are craving experiences. They want to do something bold.
- People aren’t paying me to take pictures. They’re paying me to help them shake things up.
Then I had another thought…
If people don’t want photo shoots anymore…
…how did we just fill every spot in our summer promotion by sending a handful of emails through the exact funnel strategy I teach inside Money Magnet Studio?
And if portrait photography is “dead,” how did we book eight clients into our $5k September package?
The strategy matters.
But if I’m being honest, the strategy isn’t the hardest part.
The hardest part is protecting your mindset when doubt creeps in.
That’s why Money Magnet Studio isn’t just a course.
It’s a membership.
Yes, you’ll get my complete marketing system, ten self-paced missions, and practical strategies you can implement immediately.
But twice each month, we also meet live on Zoom so I can help you work through the mental side of building a thriving business—the moments when comparison, fear, AI, slow seasons, or self-doubt try to convince you your best days are behind you.
That’s the work I really want to help you with.
Membership is $47 per month, and our next live coaching call is coming up later this week. If you can’t make it live, replays are always available.
xoxo
Your boudoir girl,
Marissa
