We are so excited to meet all of our Vegas workshop attendees tonight! Tonight is our cocktail party at the Divas suite… we’ll be hanging out, getting to know everyone, and giving an introduction/overview to our workshop. Oh, and we also created a cool ‘virtual tour’ of our San Diego studio that we’ll be sharing with everyone. Can’t wait to meet all of you – see you tonight!

We had such a great time shooting at the KISS house in Vegas last year. We really felt like we were able to show everyone exactly how we created our boudoir images. This year we have even more planned. Our “looks” and lighting have been analyzed and we are excited to bring a little more “umph” to the demo.

The past few weeks, I have been working my poor little MacBook Pro to near-exhaustion. And over the past few days, he has finally started to give up on me. I’m not one to cry over silly things, but last night, as Marissa called me to check up on the status of our projects for Vegas, I started crying out of frustration. I was supposed to be finishing up some revisions for our new edition of our book (same book, just a few minor changes – details to come soon…), and it was literally taking a minute & a half just to open ONE simple PSD 8.5×11 file. Then another two minutes to run a simple action. Then another minute or two to save. Mr. M has never been this slow. And with SOOO many things on my to-do list, and none of them getting accomplished because of this crazy time-killer, I was just a little worn out and frustrated after 8+ hours of waiting on this poor little guy. At one point, I grabbed my point & shoot to show Marissa why I started to cry on the phone. Oh, the frustration of it all!

Update: all is well. Our new books have been ordered. Our brand new [top secret] product is arriving on our doorstep this week, in time to be launched at WPPI. You all know that I just love Walt Disney. I love him like he was my own Grandpa. Which, I am very lucky to say that, my real grandfather’s character and creativity resembled Walt Disney in so many ways. I wanted to share one of my all time favorite Walt quotes…. “I dream, I test my dream against my beliefs, I dare to take risks, and I execute my vision to make those dreams come true.” I have never come across another business quote that sounded so, well, magical. 🙂 Thanks for inspiring us all Walt! – M
