The most RANDOM post. Ever.

By Personal6 Comments

How do you preface this post? Let me start by saying that we don’t like to take ourselves too seriously… we definitely know how to have fun. 🙂 I know that a lot of our posts on this blog have to do with business, but we also want to let a little of our silly/quirky/fun sides show through, too. So here’s the scenario: last Saturday, we had a ‘studio fun night’ – complete with a sushi dinner, champagne toast, going to Le Reve, and then dancing the night away at XS.

I love all of these people, and I seriously feel SO incredibly blessed to be a part of this “Diva Family.” At one point during our family fun night, Marissa had an idea: we needed to go around the table and decide what animal each person resembled. This turned into a hilarious hour-long event complete with looking up pics of the animals, and then taking pics of each other… we were laughing so hard. Such silliness, but oh-so-much-FUN! And so, here we have… the most RANDOM blog post that we’ve ever posted. Let me present the Diva family and our animal kingdom look-alikes…
Here’s Crystal (studio manager/photographer), aka baby black bear:

Patrick (friend of the Divas), aka ‘Sid the Sloth’ from Ice Age:

Here’s Deena (photographer/in-house designer), aka ‘Flower’ from Bambi:

We’ll be posting a more ‘serious’ blog post next week to recap our time in Vegas for WPPI 2010, but in the meantime, Happy Friday, and we hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xoxo, Kimberlee & the rest of ‘Team Diva’

So, Paris workshop attendees… just send us your three photos, and you’ll be entered to win!! Here are a few examples that Ashley put together for you (obviously your photos can be more abstract, don’t have to be quite so literal… also your shots do NOT need to all be self-portraits… only the FIRST shot, the “Diva” shot, needs to have you somewhere in there!) Have fun, and good luck! We can’t wait to see all the entries! 🙂

Are you wanting to boost your boudoir portfolio while you are at WPPI?

That’s right! We still have some spots left at for our “Mini-Shop” during WPPI on March 5th. This will be a great opportunity to shoot your boudoir biz to the next level. You will leave feeling much more confident about your lighting, posing and client coaching skills. It is our hope to have you leave this Mini-Shop with the confidence you need to be completely comfortable shooting a boudoir session. Not to mention that beefing up your boudoir portfolio will be a sure way to increase your boudoir bookings. Posing is especially one of the most difficult aspects of boudoir photography and it took us years to really feel comfortable and master this area. We want to get you feeling like a rock star without having to suffer through the awkward years 😉 We will also be lightly touching on marketing and what works the best for us. This isn’t as in-depth in the sales, marketing, pricing and processing as our typical two day boudoir workshops, but it is a hugely cost effective way to boost you to the next level in business. Hope to see you in Vegas! go to www.boudoirshop.com to register. xoxo- Marissa
