Christmas time! Closed for the holidays :)

I CAN’T believe Christmas is this Saturday!  I know we all say it every year, but it seriously came so fast!  We have had a very busy holiday season and are excited to have a little R & R (as I am sure you are all as well).  We just wanted to post our holiday business hours, as it may affect an order you place on our Boudoir Shop…so PLEASE READ!

Remember, we ship USPS PRIORITY mail (2-3 business days for domestic, 6-10 business days for international).  The HOLIDAY SALE is still going on at the shop, and will continue while we are closed.  Pricing will go back to normal when we come back into the office on JANUARY 3rd. So if you want to take advantage of the awesome deals (as well as get a digital copy of the Workshop in a Book before it goes into the Diva Vault), then make sure to place your order BEFORE January 3rd!

(also note that while we are closed, we will not be checking voice mails or emails; those will be responded to on January 3rd) 🙂

Many of you are asking about the Lighting DVD and we are hoping to have definite answers soon!  The overall DVD is finally finished!  We just have to figure out how long until we get copies at our studio.  We will send out an update once pre-sale is available on the boudoir shop!

April Workshop Dates Announced!

The February workshop has been full for awhile and we have quite the wait list, so we figured it was about time we sat down and finalized the April workshop dates! The next workshop will be held April 12-14 at our San Diego studio. Spots are already being reserved, so don’t delay if you have been considering attending a workshop. The first eight attendees will receive the add on photo shoot for FREE ($75 value!).  Details and a time line are below:

What Lighting Equipment to use for Boudoir Sessions? Photoflex!

Marissa and Kimberlee are working away at our next product to offer on our Boudoir Shop: the Lighting DVD!  We are very excited about this product and hope you all are too. 🙂  If all stays according to schedule, we should have it available to purchase in January.  Many of you email us asking what brand we prefer and what kind of lighting we use in our studio.  Well, we are a PHOTOFLEX filled studio!  We have everything Photoflex and absolutely love their products.  Right now they are giving away some awesome prize packages on their site and all you have to do is enter your email address and fill out a super short survey!  You can click the picture below to see the prizes and enter.  The drawing will be held on December 15th.  Talk about an awesome Christmas gift!

The “New” Burlesque

Is it just us or does the burlesque style seem to be making a HUGE come back?  From movies, to fashion trends, we LOVE it all!  Check out the trailer for Burlesque, starring Christina Aguilera!

This is such a fun theme to put into your own Boudoir Shoot as well! Adding little details such as a chair, scarf, or a fun hat can make a big difference and give you that burlesque look.  Check out a burlesque inspired boudoir shoot we did awhile back:

Here’s another example of one of our burlesque theme photo shoots.  This is one we actually shot back in March of 2009 and still one our FAVES!

American Photo Magazine also had an article on “The New Burlesque” and we just had to share this great photo taken from the magazine….

EVERY woman deserves to feel beautiful!

One of the mottos here at the Boudoir Divas studio is: “EVERY WOMAN DESERVES TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL!” At our speaking presentations and workshops that we’ve led over the past four years, this has been a huge push that we always share a LOT about.

Check out this video to hear more of our heart on this issue… (It’s a video that we created for our CLIENTS at the studio in San Diego; we always want to be sure that we are telling our clients about what we believe, because we want them to know WHY we do what we do!)

The word “Inspired” just isn’t enough…

Camille is living la vie Parisienne. And blogging about it to let us all live vicariously through her! She seems to be infatuated with all the same fancies that K n’ I are in love with too. I spent hours on her blog when I first found it awhile back and I can truly say the word “inspired” doesn’t quite fit for how I feel when I visit her site. She blogged about K and I last month, and I just composed an email to her to invite her to guest blog on our site occasionally. She is the perfect Parisienne liaison for us! Oh, side note, if you are somewhat new to our blog, we have done three Paris boudoir workshops in the past and hope to do more in the future, although do note not the near future ;). So if you even slightly get all dreamy-eyed when you think of Paris, check out her amazing site & blog, www.parisinpink.com
